Welcome to the Midcomp group of companies

Over the past 28 years, Midcomp (PTY) Ltd has strived to offer not only the best digital printing equipment and finishing equipment, from brands such as Hewlett Packard, Gerber, Zünd, Summa, Kala, Barbieri, Fotaba, Direct Color Systems, Océ, PLASTGrommet, GMG, Polygon, Caldera and Onyx, but also to offer the best service and backup support possible.

We are not only an equipment supplier, we are experts in our field and our extensive service offering and support is testimony to the high levels of expertise within the organisation. We have one simple philosophy: we like to nurture our customers’ successes, a partnership of co-operation, willingness and empathy, one of mutual trust and development. We are here for the long haul. We stand apart from our competitors in our ethos of honesty and integrity and in our ability to walk our customers through their stages of success with our systems and services. We are proud of the customers we boast.

Midcomp Innovation Hub

Avoiding production downtime is critical for any business but some printers facing technical problems or short-term capacity issues don’t always have the answer. Providing a practical solution in the event of serious disruptions, Midcomp offers all its existing customers access to a comprehensive range of advanced technologies at its Innovation Hub in Randburg. The 260m2 facility houses large-format printing, 3D printing and finishing systems, colour management tools, colour profiling, sampling and testing equipment.

Another important dimension of the Innovations Hub is training. Over and above the usual on-site training at the time of commissioning new equipment, printers are encouraged to spend time expanding their knowledge under the guidance of our expert team. This is especially helpful when introducing new technologies. Other value added services include product testing and setting-up of colour profiles and rapid prototyping.

These services are all aimed at getting the best out of equipment and providing customers with the support to grow their businesses.

Midcomp Colorflo

In today’s market place corporate companies want to be able to print onto a multitude of materials and substrates ranging from flexible textiles to rigid boards and just about everything in between. Marketers and advertisers demand that corporate logos and images be consistent with the emphasis on achieving exact colours. Colorflo’s services help make this achievable.

Often companies do not realise the full potential of their equipment purchases because the training addresses the product purchased and not your workflow outside the product. Invariably the installer is unable to address any workflow concerns. We help resolve these problems by enabling devices to communicate colour harmoniously. We reduce your consumable waste and operator time while attaining a superior colour product. Create high quality ICC profiles and learn how to use them not only in Adobe applications but also in the leading RIPs. We have helped businesses like yours achieve the best colour possible with tips and short cuts earned from years of experience.

Colorflo is targeted at customers that are demanding more accurate and consistent colour on a wide range of printers and substrates for a variety of applications. Colorflo provides digital printers with workflow management solutions, colour management services and training. We have invested in the tools, skills and resources to be able to offer customised colour management and workflow solutions.

Customised Colour Profiling provides customers with a dedicated profile for their own particular requirements. This service is performed on-site by one of Colorflo’s colour specialists and will ensure a greater level of accuracy than most standard “out-of-the-box” profiles. It is also of primary importance to offer training services to our customers. Our course goals include the development of operator competencies, including the in-house maintenance of equipment as well as the improvement of productivity.
