TRUE CERAMICS COLOUR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

DURST-COLORGATE CMS, is the only true colour management system designed and optimised for the real ceramic conditions and needs that takes into account any variation in production over time (glaze, glaze coloring, decoration conditions, ink changes, very small colour gamut, need to produce the same identical product over time, etc.).

With Durst-ColorGATE CMS you can drastically reduce the time for repeating products over time in terms of testing and glazing line downtime. On the average to reach the same tone as the reference tile only 0 to 2 test runs are necessary, this thanks to the exclusive and patented "Fingerprint" technology.

Also when converting existing products made on a coloured background to a white background, Durst-ColorGATE CMS provides the same speed and a precise matching of the tone in just a few simple steps.

Durst-ColorGATE CMS is also the only colour management system which prevents image file deterioration when repeating jobs over time as it always creates the new printing files from the same original image files, rather than applying colour corrections to an already corrected file where image data is lost with every ifrrection.

Traffic signs

Traffic signs need to follow colour specifications and retro-reflectivity as per traffic sign regulations and are characterised by a high outdoor resistance.
The Durst UV printing technology in combination with special 3M ink sets makes the production of regulated traffic signs easily manageable.

Soft signage & fabrics

Soft signage, printed with dye-sublimation ink direct or transfer to textile polyester based media, provide highest quality, brilliant colours and eco-friendly and odourless processes. These characteristics are ideal for advertising, indoor decoration and home textiles. Thanks to their soft and light weight material, they are easily transportable and therefore preferred applications for the implementation at trade shows, events, retail and shops.

Corrugated packaging

Customer demands circle around high image quality, gloss, colour brilliance, personalisation, odour minimisation and ease of production. A direct fit to the broad variety of display and packaging applications in the “non-food” area is the Durst UV- LED-technology. For food compliant packaging Durst provides its GMP compliant water based printing technology, which is odourless, has no ink layer and provides excellent off-set printing quality for primary packaging, displays and boxes.

Industrial decoration

Industrial decoration for special applications as wallcovering, flooring, furniture, good boxes, industrial cans is characterised by printing direct onto woods, metal, plastic and different kind of substrates utilising UV-LED printing technology to achieve high resistance on a wide range of materials.

Indoor decoration

Indoor decoration includes applications such as printing on wood, metal, plastic, furniture and wall papers and onto fabrics as well. Indoor decoration is mainly based on printing with UV-LED technology, as it is characterised by a high adhesion on a wide range of materials or on sublimation or pigment ink technology if the substrate is fabrics or textile. But even the water based printing technology finds its collocation when printing onto corrugated, cardboard or carton substrates is needed.

Variable data

Multiple variable elements, such as barcodes, serial numbers, text or images, can be placed together on one label. Combined with the high ripping speed of Durst Workflow Label variable data jobs can be processed fast and efficient.

Speciality packaging

In the past, Durst has gained a vast know-how about speciality packaging applications such as blister, tubes, tags, tickets or folding cardboard. The Tau RSC platform printers are able to print on a large variety of substrates and the software solutions offered by Durst Workflow Label ensure an integrated workflow combined with secure handling of sensitive job data.

Industrials

Tau RSC inks provide outstanding light fastness, temperature and abrasion resistance for durable applications. The ink is very well suited specifically for electronic, oil and lubrificant labels. Compliance with UL and BS5609 section 3 for Tau RSC inks has been achieved.

Pharmaceuticals

The new Tau RSC Low Migration inks have been developed specially for applications in the pharmaceutical and food applications. The inks have been formulated based on the common regulations and tested and declared as compliant by independent test institutes. Available in CMYK, orange, blue and white, they deliver excellent print quality.

Online printing

The Tau RSC presses can be fully integrated in an automated workflow where the operator does not need to do much more than hitting the start print button. The Tau RSC UV ink provides excellent durability, resistance and light fastness. Resistance has been proven for example with tests against gasoline or methylated spirit. Floor tiles

Ceramic tiles are made from clay compositions and other inorganic raw materials. They are ground and/or slipped, moulded and subsequently dried and fired at temperatures from 1000°C/1830°F to 1250°C/2280°F to make them acquire the required properties in a stable way. FLOOR TILES: These tiles are usually denser and heavier than wall tiles nowadays mostly Porcelain stoneware. Available with glazed or unglazed surface, floor tiles are designed to have sufficient strength, impact and abrasion resistance to withstand weight and foot traffic. Porcelain stoneware is also suitable for outdoor use.

WALL TILES Any ceramic tile is suitable for walls, bbut those specifically made, high-glossed and decorated are most commonly used. Wall tiles have a very soft glaze and porous body and therefore should never be used on floors or for outdoor applications.

Listellos to be used in conjunction with wall tiles to enhance apparence, durable picture tiles for decorative or indoor/outdoor applications, permament, lightproof outdoor signage, short run custom design tiles, photoceramics.
