Midcomp Consumables have partnered with Palram Industries to bring to market a range of high-quality, lightweight and easy-to-handle flat foamed PVC sheets for a diverse range of applications in the large format sign and display and construction market.

Palram flat foamed PVC sheets are available in a lightweight .42 density and a higher .52 density in sizes 1220 x 2440mm or 2030 x 3050mm. Thicknesses include 2mm, 3mm and 5mm. Whichever size or thickness you choose, all foam boards are bright white with a consistent and smooth surface, high insulation and chemical resistance, low water absorption and is non-toxic. It can be easily bonded, vacuum formed, nailed and fabricated using conventional tools and equipment and is ideal for cost-sensitive projects.

In the construction space you have the option of creating industrial models, partitions, ducting, control cabinets, lightweight structures for corrosive environments or insulation for control cabinets.

With screen printing the bright white colour enables you to reproduce true colours and achieve greater impact with white space. It is also suitable for use with aqueous and solvent inks and the low absorption of the sheet surface provides excellent ink yield. Of course, the flat and consistent surface is also ideal for screen printing.

In the world of digital printing, the flat foamed PVC sheets are specially designed for digital flatbed printers. It is suitable for use with UV curing and solvent-based digital inks, and for heat drying when water-based inks are used. The bright white colour also retains superb whiteness after intense UV curing.

Photo mounting is another application where the versatility of flat foamed Palram PVC is of real benefit. It is highly suitable for mounting photos and digital printing lamination due to the flat and even surface that allows complete lamination, the impact strength and ductility that allows cutting by guillotine or knife and the high rigidity that enables the use of large sheets without the need for support.
